DOE STTR Award

RadTran has received a Phase I STTR award from the UnitedStates Department of Energy to support commercialization of its Ra-228 production process as a means for supporting Ac-225 isotope needs. The project under the award entails three major steps including: Ra-228 product proof of concept demonstration, Ra-228 to Th-229 conversion demonstration, and process scalability. Experimental work is being conducted at the Pacific NorthwestNational Laboratory.

Energy Fuels Announces Strategic Alliance with RadTran, LLC for the Recovery of Isotopes Needed for Emerging Cancer Therapeutics Alliance. This partnership has the potential to develop commercial technologies and sources of isotopes needed for a new domestic medical supply chain.

Export License and End User Agreement

July 1, 2019
RadTran has been awarded an Export License and End User Agreement by the French government to exchange thorium currently held by its partner Solvay. The first shipment of thorium is expected in early 2020 to support final proof of concept and scalability testing for the RadTran process. All experimental work is being conducted at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
