Andy Edwards, Ph.D. is the Chief Technical Officer of RadTran LLC.Dr. Edwards has a background in biological and medical physics and has worked in biomedical research for 15 years. He has developed research programs in multiscale mathematical modeling of physiology and pharmacology, including an international doctoral program in computational biomedicine. His research contribution incorporates topics ranging from the molecular interactions involved in pharmacotherapeutic targeting, through advanced stem cell-based screening methods for drug development, up to measurable physiological outcomes in patients and animals. He currently holds positions as a Senior Research Scientist at Simula Research Laboratory and an adjunct associate professorship at the University of Oslo.
Dr. Edwards was awarded a BS in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Wollongong, Australia. He earned both his MS and Ph.D. degrees in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Edwards has published broadly across disciplines in physiology, pharmacology, and mathematics, and maintains reviewerships at many major international journals.
